Omg the day was totally fabulous, the whole time with ye was perfect.. perfect and more..  the hotel is beautiful, our room was such an experience in it own, delightful. Your staff are top class, we can’t thank them enough.. just so pleasant and attentive, treated us like family, for this we are forever grateful every guest said the same..
The food oh lord were do I start – I have no words that could complement your chef and team enough – gifted, the attention to detail, presentation fab, service was so smooth for dinner so relaxing just like the day was.. sorbet was a fun touch – worked brilliantly
We, well I forgot about the afternoon tea deserts as we ended up going on a mystery photo shoot with Pat from Limerick limousines the bridal party on a vintage bus, and organised a 2:30pm pick up, so it clashed – I do apologise as I totally mixed it up.
The team helped and we delayed having them but I do feel bad as they were so cute and tasted fab, the workmanship “wow” they looked and tasted fantastic..
The room worked beyond practical it was amazing so romantic, fabulous view the set up was perfect worked so well – changing rooms effect perfect again & our flags so personal to us – a touch that meant so so much to us. I can’t thank The Strand Hotel and staff enough, such an amazing team, I didn’t feel like the bride I felt like a family bride, comfortable, the respect with responsibility was excellent with such pure excellence & always a smile from them all especially now in the tough times with restrictions changing daily with COVID-19
We will be back and cannot recommend  ye enough for having a wedding or any event for that with you..

“From the day we went into the Stand Hotel to book our Wedding, Chloe Fahy the Wedding Coordinator was brilliant and we only gave her 8 months to get it all together. Nothing was too much for her and she was so pleasant to deal with, everything ran so smoothly on the day. We had the Ceremony at the Hotel also in the City View Suite overlooking the Shannon River perfectly, just stunning views from that room. I was blown away by the setup in both suites we used, and all our wedding guest said the same thing, it just looked fantastic. The wedding meal was to die for, everyone was happy with the food and service provided by the Hotel. I didn’t have to worry about anything on my big day or in the lead up to it, which made it so much more enjoyable for us. Thank you so much to all the team at Limericks Strand Hotel. We had our wedding on the 27th of December 2019. From our initial meeting with Olivia in January 2019 the team could not have been more helpful and welcoming. The hotel was perfect for us. We had the ceremony and reception in the spacious Shannon Suite and a gorgeous drinks reception was overlooking Limerick City in a fabulous City View suite. We also got beautiful photos from the rooftop with the city’s Christmas lights in the background. It was the ideal venue for a Christmas wedding as everyone arrived at the venue and could settle in and enjoy the day. All the rooms and in particular the bridal suite were amazing! Stunningly designed and spacious. Our guests commented on how perfect the hotel was for our wedding and how friendly and helpful the team were. So many of our guests complimented the gorgeous food that was served on the day. There was plenty of food and everyone’s needs were catered for. John, Dave and the wait team were exceptional on the day ensuring everything ran to plan. They took such great care in facilitating and organising everything that we were able to totally relax and enjoy the day. Olivia was aways quick to respond to any questions and queries we had and offered lots of invaluable advice based on her experience. Olivia met with us several times before the big day and was so attentive in ensuring everything was prepared and organised. Chloe was available on the day and was so helpful in answering any last minute questions we had.   We felt like absolute VIP’s for the day! It was completely stress free and so relaxed as we knew we were in very safe and experienced hands. We would recommend that anyone thinking of having their wedding in Limerick visits the The Strand. We had the best day and cannot thank the team enough.

It wowed us from the start when we saw the Shannon Suite and the Bridal Suite. The food on the day was exceptional. Plenty of it and it catered to everyone’s needs and requirements. I’ve had so many messages complimenting the food and I’d like to thank Tom Flavin and his kitchen team for all their hard work. The best decision we made was choosing The Strand Hotel because they went above and beyond in every way making our day unforgettable.

I am not even sure where to start with our review of our Strand Hotel wedding! Absolutely everything was incredible.
On behalf of myself and my husband we would like to start by saying a huge thank you to the events team especially Chloe Fahy who made our happily ever after not just a fairy tale but a reality. The build up to the wedding was quiet stressful as most weddings are but our event planner Chloe or as I like to call her my fairy god mother made the experience so much easier. Anything additional which we requested on the day was given to us without hesitation.
As we got married in the hotel the ceremony room was absolutely beautiful and we were taken through the finer details such as what chairs we would like, centre pieces, flowers etc. (things we did not think of ourselves).  When we entered the event room we were blown away with the décor and layout of room.
Next stage of the day was the food, which was absolutely divine, served on time and presented beautifully. Our wedding was nearly 2 months ago and we still have people coming up to us complimenting the food they were served at the wedding. In addition to the food being excellent we cannot speak highly enough of the management team John & Dave as well as the wait staff, they acted very professional, friendly and very accommodating. The next day we had a BBQ held in the strand main bar, where we had our very own private section closed off from main bar. The food which was served on day 2 of our wedding was superb, hats off to the chef (Tom) who was an absolute gent to deal with and even gave us ideas of what to serve at the BBQ and what would work well together and what he would advise against.
Finally I would like to add the little touches which the strand offered us for example giving us our very own new bridge silverware knife engraved, customised to us. It was the best day of our lives and we are so glad we chose to spend it in the Strand Hotel Limerick as they made both days absolutely magical for us.
If we could offer advice to any couples who recently got engaged and are thinking of having their wedding in Limerick we would highly recommend the Strand, it is flawless.
I think what makes the Strand Hotel Limerick such an incredible place is how personal everything is. From the moment we first made contact with Chloe, through to leaving the hotel, everything was unforgettable.  The venue is stunning and so incredibly peaceful!  We truly experienced a fairy-tale wedding!

‘The Strand Hotel was an absolute dream to deal with from start to finish of the wedding planning process. From the beginning Chloe and the team were never further than a quick email away with the many questions and queries we had. We could not have possibly felt more relaxed in the knowledge that they had every angle covered and under control.
Six months on and we are still getting compliments on the spectacular venue. The views from the rooftop terrace are simply sublime, the food and table service was flawless and everything was done with a touch of class. Not only were Chloe, John and the team superb to us both, they also ensured all family members and indeed all guests were accommodated for. We got married on a beautiful sunny Friday in September, the place looked fantastic. The spectacular views of Limerick definitely won the hearts of all our guests, everyone was beaming taking photographs, our Leinster guests in particular loving having Thomond Park in the background! The views from there showcased Limerick. Aishling Casey our Wedding Manager was so professional right from the very start of our wedding planning. We had 14 weeks of planning and she was an absolute pleasure to deal with and made everything happen so easily, she went beyond her role and even listened to me rambling about other parts of the .day I was trying to organise. Thanks a million Aishling! If Aishling wasn’t around then Chloe brilliantly jumped into help with our queries and management was seamless. All the food was top class but it was the beef that had everyone one talking with so many telling us afterwards that it was ‘the best beef I ever had at a wedding’ ! Thanks Tom and your hardworking Team. Our experience was so positive and we always felt like we were their sole customer when organising the day, that was special.

Chloe,I would just like to thank you personally, so very much, for all your help with our wedding. You were so friendly and easy to deal with and nothing seemed a bother for you. You took care of every little detail (even the cappuccinos and my dads’ apple pie!!) I love being organised and had my big folder full of notes and lists etc. but I found it so easy to leave the detail to you! You had great control over everything and the day turned out to be exceptional and surpassed our expectations. Thank you so, so very much, for your guidance through it all.
To John, who co-ordinated the day and kept the bridal party and ourselves on track. A special thanks for the extra time at the reception drinks. We were a little late back from getting our photos so the flexibility meant we actually got to see all our guests and enjoy the reception. The pep talk prior to entering the ballroom ensured no member of the bridal party felt nervous and everything was made clear. You run a tight ship but your method really works! Laughs and fun were had by all so thank you, it’s much appreciated!
To the chefs, the one thing our guests are still praising is the food. It was delicious and the portions were very generous. I believe food is one of the most important aspects of a wedding and this was done to perfection at ours!
To Louise, for the next day BBQ, the food was amazing. Louise made sure we had lots of yummy food and everything went brilliantly on the day. The location, set-up, amount and variety of food made the event easy for all. Louise even came out to see us all and make sure it was going ok! Thank you so much, Louise, you really were the star of the BBQ! The BBQ really finished the wedding weekend off nicely. I would thoroughly recommend this.
To the lovely, reception staff, especially Susan, who even found and returned my wedding shoes you were all so great. Susan especially made the wedding party laugh on several occasions when we were a little nervous, watched out for us when we needed something and checked in on us every chance she got!
Honestly, as I really do not want to leave anyone out of this message, every member of staff we met during our stay were so kind and welcoming. There was a lovely vibe about the place. You should all have great pride in your hotel and workplace

I fell in love with the Limerick Strand as soon as I walked in. When my sister in law and I went upstairs to the 6th floor the view was breathtaking and i know i wanted my wedding there. My husband is from Limerick and I am from Canada. We got engaged in Ireland and from there we decided to marry in Ireland. Chloe made arrangements for our day so painless, she made communication so easy. I never had to wait for a response and even received phone calls to just check in. The day finally came and it went so smooth and the the ceremony room looked so beautiful as did the reception room. Everything was as we wanted. The service was amazing, the food was fantastic!!  Everyone had so much fun and we didn’t feel stressed out at all. The bridal suite was beautiful. I truly felt like a princess that day. My husband and I would recommend the Limerick Strand Hotel to everyone , even those abroad. Thank you Chloe and her amazing staff for the best day ever and one we will never forget.

We started organising our wedding in 2018 and from the minute we met with Aishling, we knew we were picking the best hotel to celebrate in.
The entire team in the Strand were a pleasure to deal with from the months of preparation, to the big day itself and again afterwards they were fantastic!
Aishling Casey, the wedding co-ordinater, was in constant contact and put everything we wished for our wedding day, and the second day BBQ into place, and had supportive, experienced solutions and advice throughout. We honestly could not thank her enough!
The two days we celebrated were beyond what we could have hoped for and my husband (!) and I and our 220 guests really enjoyed all the touches and features the team put in place. From the flower wall and sweet cart to the late night tayto sandwiches, everything was such a hit!!
The only thing we could wish for would be to do it all over again!
We could not recommend The Strand as a wedding venue more highly and can’t wait to return for our anniversary. Thanks again!

We wanted a classy, stylish venue with amazing views and The Strand certainly ticked all these boxes. It was clear to us when we met Aishling that as much as we wanted to have our wedding in The Strand they wanted us to have it there too. Our coordinator Chloe was an absolute pleasure to deal with and the planning and organising was a breeze with her on board. She was so professional yet approachable and went above and beyond for us. Chloe, we can’t thank you enough for everything, you really are a credit to the hotel and we will be forever grateful for the time and effort you put into planning our big day with us.
On the day itself, John & Dave ensured everything ran so smoothly. The lads and their team worked seamlessly behind the scenes all day and everything was perfect. Nothing was too big or too small an ask and their attention to detail was remarkable. Our guests enjoyed the cloche & white glove snake service which was executed to perfection each time 🙂 The food all day was unbelievable and all dietary requirements were catered to without any hassle.
We had our second day celebrations in the hotel with a BBQ and again we were looked after incredibly well all day. Hugh and his bar staff were amazing and we had such a relaxed and fun second day.

Renewing your wedding vows is indeed a very special celebration, so finding the perfect venue for hosting such a celebration is vital. The Strand Hotel has it all from start to finish. To start, the perfect central location in the Heart of Limerick City is so close to Shannon Airport so our families from abroad could join us. We had the ceremony in the City View Suite on the 6th floor, the views overlooking Limerick City are breathtaking, capturing the River Shannon and by night, it is even more beautiful with the twinkling city lights. The prosecco reception on the ice bar with canapes after the ceremony was fabulous and we had plenty of time to mingle and get photos with our family and friends. It was the relaxed vibe we were going for and the Strand Hotel gave us that.

Our meal was delicious, all dietary requirements catered for with no hesitation. Well done to Tom Flavin and his team on delivering such perfection for us. Our guests were so impressed with the cloche and white glove service, the timing was impeccable! A huge thanks to Operations Manager, John Kelly on his attention to detail throughout the day. We danced the night away and when we needed a break, we could sit on the roof terrace overlooking the City. To top it off and finish our celebrations we had a BBQ in the Terrace Bar on day two, thanks to Hugh for looking after us and advising us to have the minimoon in Spain! Don’t get me started on Chloe Fahy, our Wedding coordinator. She is a credit to the Hotel, it was a pleasure to have her as our coordinator, a true professional. She advised and helped us not just on that weekend but for a year running up to the renewal. A massive thank you to Chloe who helped make our day one of the most memorable and happiest ever. I cannot recommend the Strand Hotel highly enough.

We had the most amazing day for our wedding in the strand hotel in Limerick. We searched high and low for the perfect venue and when we went to view the strand hotel Chloe had us from the get-go. She was so helpful and made us feel like no request was too big or too small and that anything we needed she would take care of. It really helped to relieve some of the stress with planning a wedding knowing that the venue and food will be taken care of with no worries. We had our reception on the roof top bar, and it was an amazing experience. Everyone could see the whole of the city and a perfect opportunity to take photos. The food was amazing, it was a real dining experience. I still have guests talking to me about how much they enjoyed the food on the day which is so nice to hear because we really wanted our guests to enjoy themselves as well. I couldn’t thank Chloe enough; she really was amazing from when we walked through the door until the wedding was well and truly over. Would really recommend the strand hotel. The chef is amazing, staff are very friendly and literally no request is too big or too small. Very professional, loved loved loved our wedding day here.

We celebrated our wedding reception in the Strand Hotel in May 2019 and it really was the best day. The food, the room, the service, everything was fantastic. Our wedding coordinator, Chloe, was brilliant, so lovely to deal with and no question or request was ever a problem.
The views from the 6th floor City View Suites for the drinks reception were amazing. The bridal suite was gorgeous, and our champagne breakfast on the balcony the next morning was a nice treat.
We are big Munster fans and Chloe arranged for us to get photos taken in Thomond Park after the ceremony, which was a great experience.
We stayed in the Strand for our second day too and had a lovely BBQ in the bar. The hotel had reserved tables in the bar for us to watch the Munster semi-final from 2:30, hours before the BBQ, which was great and much appreciated.
We had been struggling to pick a hotel venue, but from the minute Chloe showed us around the Strand on our first meeting, we were blown away. The rooftop drinks reception was a big selling point and we can’t thank Chloe enough for all her help, and making everything so easy. Thanks again

Having our wedding at the Strand hotel was one of the best decisions in the wedding preparations that we could have made. Chloe Fahy made us feel like we were the only couple she was working with as she gave so much energy, time and passion to the process of planning our wedding. Nothing was a problem and we never felt uncomfortable asking questions or highlighting wishes we had for the day. All the staff were so friendly, our family and friends could not stop talking about it! The food was beautiful and had great portion sizes which was great for our food fanatic family! As two Limerick proud people, having our wedding in the heart of Limerick city was amazing and had the most beautiful view of Limerick during the day. Chloe arranged for some of our wedding photos to be taken in King Johns Castle and that venue added so much to our photos. Our day was so magical and I never would have thought that the staff made such an impact but it really does. We could not recommend looking at the Strand as an option for your day!

We cannot thank the Strand Hotel enough for hosting our wedding this year. From the moment we decided to have our wedding at the Strand they could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The location was brilliant, the food was delicious and the service was second to none. The Bridal suite was also amazing with great views of the city.
Our wedding co-ordinator was Chloe, who did an incredible job to make the day enjoyable, relaxing and left no stone unturned to make sure everything went perfectly. Chloe went above and beyond even leaving a family event to come visit us and make sure we were enjoying the day!
Our guests really enjoyed the rooftop reception which was spectacular, they all complimented the cloche service which really added to the occasion and all of their dietary requests were met without any fuss or hassle. We also had a second day of celebrations in the Strand and all of our guests were catered for and comfortable with a lovely BBQ. All the staff were so friendly and helpful we cannot recommend the Strand highly enough.

We can’t recommend the Strand hotel highly enough as a wedding venue. From the beginning the staff was extremely accommodating, friendly and supportive. Our wedding coordinator Chloe Fahy was brilliant, we felt very reassured with her help and support through the planning process. On the day of the wedding everything went as planned thanks to all the staff and especially the shift manager John. The food and service was top class and the city view suite looked stunning. All our guests were blown away by the venue and the food. The bridal suite was very luxurious with an amazing balcony with view over the city. We celebrated our wedding reception in The Strand Hotel on April 26th 2019. Our experience from the initial meeting with Aishling (our wedding co-ordinator) all the way through to the wedding day itself was exceptional. Any request or need we had was catered for immediately and without any problems. Aishling was extremely helpful and professional in everything she did and she helped to make our wedding day a day we will never forget.
The drinks reception on the 6th floor rooftop setting set the standard for a great day. The views of Limerick city were breathtaking and made for great photo opportunities. The Shannon Suite function room was beautifully set up and decorated and the flower wall was extremely popular.
All our guests were full of praise for the fabulous meal that was served and the extremely efficient and polite service of the staff.
We could not recommend The Strand Hotel and Aishling highly enough and we would like to thank them for making our Wedding Day so incredible.

We looked for a Wedding Venue that could support the guest we had coming from Ireland and the ones flying over from London.  The Limerick Strand was perfect. Chloe was fantastic she was so helpful considering we were planning from abroad. The venue was beautiful, and we heard nothing but good things from our guests about the Wedding location and Hotel. The venue catered to our every need and we did have a lot of them. The Wedding was nearly 3 days long from the pre drinks the night before to BBQ the day after. The whole team bent over backwards to help with all the requests from the welcome bags in every room to the personalised chocolate buttons on all the desert (thank you so much Tom) the food was amazing and served hot and all our guests commented on it. All the little details I had were handled with care from the Team. Thank you for making our day magical.

When we went looking at wedding venues, The Strand Hotel was the first hotel we viewed and we were just wowed! From then on, no other hotel could compare.  Our co-coordinator was Chloe and working with her was an absolute pleasure. She was always there to answer our queries (no matter how stupid they sounded!). She went above and beyond to make sure our day was everything we wanted it to be, even had a few surprises thrown in for good measure. We met Tom, the Head Chef, at our menu tasting and the was a total pro. We knew we were in good hands and that the food would be delicious and it was! On the day, all the staff were so professional and friendly – the servers & bar staff at the drinks reception and in the ballroom & John who looked after us from the minute we arrived. From the beautifully decorated ballroom to the fabulous bridal suite, the wow factor never ended. We loved every minute of our wedding reception in this hotel and couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

From the moment Tadhg and I stepped foot in the Limerick Strand Hotel we knew that there was no other place we would have our special day. The City Suite was perfect for our Humanist Ceremony and the Shannon Suite was lovely and festive for our wedding dinner. Aishling and Olivia were so professional and friendly to deal with and there were no requests that were too big for them! Our menu tasting was just amazing and we knew there and then we had made the right choice! The food on our wedding day was beyond our expectations and everyone complemented the meal and the service and still talk about how great the food was!
The whole day and even the BBQ the following day was just so relaxing and so well organised! Our suite was the icing on the cake and we lovely chilling out on the balcony the morning after our wedding enjoying the beautiful views of Limerick city.  We didn’t have to worry once over the whole weekend as we knew we were in great hands at The Strand! I had been searching for some time for a location that would offer the type of elegant, fun, classy, warm and subtle sophistication that we wanted to renew our vows with our new blended family.
It was worth the search! Thank you so much for creating such a beautiful warm atmosphere for our Vow renewal in the amazing Strand City View suite!
From the moment we engaged with you all, Dave & I found it a pleasure.  Choosing from the fantastic selection of menus on offer to keep me on track and helping with all the planning made the day everything we had hoped it would be. The impressive suite we were provided to get ready overlooking the Shannon, getting ready while sipping bubbles and having our makeup and hair done set us up for the day ahead.
The guests were full of compliments on the whole day. Compliments to the chef and in particular for the warm duck salad which was superb. Wine was flowing and the service was excellent.
Having everything from the laidback Ceremony hosted by my Sister, to the Champagne ice bar all across one floor made it just so relaxed. It all looked stunning and the views are unrivalled and is made for great pictures. Our beautiful blended family and friends all had such a good time, the kids and teenagers had their space to chill together, babysitting was catered for. The adults had a ball. What more can I say… we had a total blast!

We booked our wedding with The Strand Hotel roughly round 12 months before our big day. From the day we entered the Four Star Hotel which is conveniently located in the heart of Limerick over looking the river Shannon, we felt so welcome and had a lovely detailed chat with Olivia our Wedding Co Ordinator.  Olivia was a pleasure to deal with and nothing was a problem with any request we may have had. She assured us of a top class service and  the hotel went over and above for our special day.  The Management and staff made our day such a special occasion for us, the courtesy and kindness shown to us and our guests was overwhelming . Our meal was mouth watering which our guests remarked on throughout the day and still talk about.  From start to finish(right through till the early hours) the atmosphere, craic and that special feeling was shown to us 110%. I couldn’t recommend The Strand highly enough, their attention to detail, was mind blowing. Their professionalism is to a very high standard and I can assure any couple thinking of booking their special day with the Strand will not be disappointed.  I have visited the hotel on numerous occasions since and they still remember us on first name basis, and the welcome is heart warming.  Looking forward to our next stay already!

What can we say about The Strand Hotel Limerick as a wedding venue . . . Stunning!!!
From our first appointment to view it as our wedding venue to our wedding day Chloe Fahy has been amazing, answering all of our queries promptly to create our dream wedding.
On the day itself we couldn’t have imagined how beautiful the Library Room for our Civil Ceremony was going to be and as for the City Suite . . . It was absolutely stunning, beautiful views over the river shannon which all our guests enjoyed!!

Chloe was so helpful on the morning of our wedding helping me and my bridesmaids get ready and making sure we were all ok.
The meal itself was outstanding, plenty of food for everybody, we also ordered a pig on a spit for our evening guests which I would highly recommend, it went down a treat!! We are still receiving compliments on the food from all of our guests!!
John Kelly who took care of our wedding on the day was fantastic, answering any questions we had and ensuring our day ran smoothly.
We would highly recommend The Strand Hotel to any Bride and Groom looking for a venue as they make your wedding day vision a reality!!

It is beyond any words to describe the perfection of our Wedding venue. I can strongly say that whoever chooses the Limerick Strand Hotel for your Wedding, you will not regret it. We had the Shannon Suite as our Wedding reception, it was absolutely stunning. It had everything that we had dreamed about. The staff were so nice and friendly on the day. Our Wedding Coordinator Chloe was really helpful. Whenever we had questions no matter how silly they were she was always there for us. She took time to meet us whenever we needed it and she talked us through all our options and details. On the wedding day, our guests were amazed by the decorations, the whole setting of the room, the dressing of the tables, and the food! I have to say they are still applauding the wedding meal. The decor of this beautiful hotel was spectacular and made our wedding photos lovely! I would recommend the Limerick Strand hotel to anyone! Again, thanks to the staff and everything you did for us, especially Chloe.

On the 13th July this year my husband and I had the pleasure of celebrating our nuptials at the Stand Hotel Limerick. The day was sensational and it was down to the Strand for this. The venue itself is marvellous but it is the people that made it magical. I can not thank Chloe or John enough for our flawless day.
The day itself was such a success and a huge hit with all my guests because of the run up to the wedding and the high standards of The Strand. I would view myself as a hard woman to impress, precise in what I want and extremely stressful when it comes to minor details.
I was not this person on the day of my wedding. I was able to enjoy every moment and not a single thing was out of place. This I accredit to Chloe for ensuring that my vision had come to light. The service that Chloe provided was next to none. She was always available, provided excellent advice and a warm welcome. By the time the wedding came around I felt I had gained a friend.
The atmosphere, bedrooms, decor, silver service, food and bar staff were fantastic. All my guests were attended to with the same attention to detail as the top table was. Food hit all tables within 13 minutes of the top table being served which wasn’t an easy feat considering the size of our party. At no point was a table left waiting. All the suppliers I had organised for the day were greeted and aided by the managers of the Strand and this led to the seamless running of the day.
There is so much more I could say but nothing will justify just how fabulous the Strand hotel is. Any bride would delight in organising their wedding with them and any groom will be chuffed on the day. My guests were truly impressed, I was delighted and the memories are forever. I am fortunate enough to have made the right decision choosing them and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to Limerick Strand Hotel for the most magical wedding day (and day after!) From the minute we went in there and spoke to Chloe and Aisling we knew it was the place for us. The hotel management and staff made sure we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Our guests commented on the amazing food, friendly staff, and beautiful touches (Our initials in stones on the balcony, our wedding photo on the menu, the ice-cream cart and the cloche service for all tables, among many others). We booked the Strand Hotel for our wedding on the 30th June 2018 and received nothing but a 1st class service on our big day.
From the City View Suite where we held our Ceremony with its panoramic views and fairytale feel, to the Shannon Suite room with its perfect layout & decorations from the candelabra centerpieces to the blossom trees, it can only be described as breathtaking, and it was more than we could ever have envisioned for our Wedding day.
The venue is so impressive and there was no shortage of parking and accommodation. Our guests had an excellent choice rooms, from single & double rooms to luxury suites….. The close proximity to Limerick City is also worth mentioning as it was fantastic for many of our guests that had travelled from the UK and other parts of the country.
Our wedding planner Chloe Fahy can only be described as an excellent and is a real asset to the Strand Hotel, She went through every fine detail with us and nothing was too much for her, she was amazing and she made us feel so special. Chloe was always contactable and responded to every little question I had no matter how silly it might have been….Every detail was covered and executed to the highest standard.
We would also like to say a huge thank you to the executive chef Tom Flavin for serving us up one of the best 5 course meals we have ever had the pleasure of eating and of course we have to mention John who spent his day shadowing me from the minute I arrived in the hotel. He was by my side throughout the day ensuring everything ran like clockwork. John kept me calm on my walk towards the aisle and ensured the drinks reception and everything else on the day ran smoothly, John really did attend to our every whim and he was always there beside us if we needed the slightest thing.
The staff were so helpful and the service was incredible, all of our guests felt like they got a 5 star service experience and were made feel most welcome.
Everyone was blown away by the professionalism, quality and service this hotel provided. We loved the fact that The Strand is child friendly and the staff were fantastic with our kids on the day.
We cannot thank Chloe and John enough for all they did for us on the run up to our wedding and the main event itself, it was truly amazing from start to finish.  We on would Highly Recommend The Strand Hotel for any Couple who are thinking of getting Married.

We would like to say a big thank you to all the team who had anything to do with our wedding at the Limerick Strand Hotel on Friday, May 4th 2018. The place looked absolutely fantastic and was over and above what either of us could ever had expected.

We opted for a humanist ceremony in the Shannon Suite which went off without a hitch. We had large numbers but can safely say it wasn’t an issue for the hotel for the turnaround, they managed to turn around the room after the ceremony into an amazing Wedding Reception in the space of an hour or so while we had the drinks reception. The drinks reception was in the City View Suite – we were lucky to have a bright day but even if it was raining I don’t think it would have mattered because of the beautiful views. The Shannon suite when we came back down not only looked outstanding but the service throughout was also outstanding.
There are two things that people need for a great wedding, a good band and excellent food and we were lucky to have both. We received lots of compliments from our guests on the food quality and the service!  Last but not least, our wedding coordinator Aishling was amazing from start to finish, she was so easy to deal with and very accommodating and professional with all the arrangements, she offered recommendations on the band and ceremony music and we were so glad for her advice for all of the small things that you could easily forget. We knew we were in safe hands from day one and cannot thank her enough!
All of our guests had a fantastic day and night and we’re very happy that we chose Aishling and the Limerick Strand Hotel for our Special Day!

The Limerick Strand Hotel was always the place Kerron and I wanted to share our special day with our family and friends. Chloe was fantastic from the word go, She made sure every little detail was taken care of and always was a phone call away if we needed anything sorted. Dealing with her made us feel very relaxed, as we were a young couple and fairly nervous about the whole wedding and wanted to go to a venue that made us feel welcome. The food was phenomenal and the staff were very attentive and kind. We had our ceremony there, which was decorated beautifully and our meal in the city view suite. The views were stunning from the balcony and the perfect spot for photos! I couldn’t recommend it more to anyone looking to share their special day there. It has the look, great food, and amazing staff who keep you smiling and laughing and calm all along the way. Thank you Chloe and staff for making our day as special as it was. Our wedding coordinator, Chloe, was an absolute pleasure to work with.  Chloe listened to our vision for the day and understand our requirements; we wanted an intimate ceremony and reception followed by a big party in the evening for all our relatives and friends.  The hotel did everything they could to make this vision a reality.  All our guests commented on what a fantastic venue the Strand Hotel was, helped in great measure by the fantastic views of the city offered by the wrap-around balcony.  We were lucky that there was a fantastically bright full moon on the night and the river Shannon never looked so beautiful.  Our guests also commented on the top quality and variety of the food on offer at the evening buffet.  It was a very special day for us and the journey to that day was made as enjoyable and stress-free as possible by the hotel.  We must also mention the amazing suite that was ours for the night; everything we could have possibly wished for was there – a spacious and luxurious lounge area, champagne on ice, chocolate strawberries, rose petal covered master bed and a balcony offering again the most wonderful views of the city and the river Shannon.  Sincere thanks to Chloe and the Strand Hotel team for making our day so special.
