We at Limerick Strand Hotel recognise that our business has an important role to play in protecting and enhancing the environment for future generations and to help secure the long-term sustainability of the tourism industry.

We are committed to reducing our environmental impact through better efficiencies in the use of energy, minimising waste and water usage. As well as ensuring responsible purchasing, supporting local suppliers, engaging with charities, community and empowering our staff.

We are proud to have built a partnership with local environmental charity Hometree and plant a native Irish tree for every wedding and a conference of minimum 100 attendees. Thanks to ‘green’ communication with our guests and clients, we engage them in various sustainable actions during their visit and make a meaningful difference. Our efforts have been recognised by achievement of Gold award in Green Tourism and Green Meetings Certifications.
