The Big Bedroom Reveal
We are delighted to share with you that we have completed a €1.6 million refurbishment programme upgrading all of our 184 bedrooms including 13 suites, bedroom corridors and executive lounge, making us Limericks’ only fully refurbished hotel.
The Limerick Strand Hotel is renowned for championing local suppliers and has once again underlined this commitment by commissioning over 40 local trade experts to work on the refurbishment. The new look contemporary bedrooms, suites and corridors have been furnished and renovated to the highest standards working with many local businesses including Limerick’s Abbey Owney who were commissioned to make the beautiful, contemporary bespoke furniture and Conroy Curtains Ltd. who made the curtains and voiles using a rich tapestry of fabrics with a colour palette of teal and soft golds to suites and a mixture of yellow, greys and cappuccino for the contemporary bedrooms. Wall colours are contemporary greys with wallpaper in suites from Vescom, shades and lights plus the silk shades in suites all from Irish lighting experts Hicken Lighting. All the painting and decorating was completed by local tradesman Eamon Flynn Painting & Decorating. Interior Designer, Deirdre O’Donnellan commissioned paintings of local landmarks from Spire Art to complement the room interior colours. In-room facilities were also upgraded to include glass counter tops, new Phillips TVs and brand new RESPA beds from Co. Meath.
