"They made our wedding absolutely perfect”
My wife and I had our wedding reception at the The Strand on the 16th of December last. Where do I start. We chose the City View Suite as we had 100 guests. It proved to be the perfect choice. For the time of year the lights outside framed with the night time lights of the city made for a picture perfect setting.
I'd like to extend a whole hearted thank you to the GM-Sean, our wedding planner-Carly, banqueting manager-Sebastian and of course head chef-Tom. Our families and friends who attended are still talking about the great welcome, food and all round great show you put on for us for the three days we stayed with you around the wedding in December. You have a great team with what I can only describe as that hospitality X factor.
My parents came up to visit us last weekend and nearly booked in for the weekend. Unfortunately they had to stay with us but maybe some time soon they will be back to stay with you.

Everything about The Strand Hotel on our recent wedding day was superb. To begin with our guests were very impressed with the welcome reception in particular the waiting staff who were effienct, helpful and friendly. Many raved to us on the day about the food, service and decoration of The Shannon Suite in particular the Cloche Service. One guest told us the mushroom soup was the nicest they had tasted. Another local guest told us the hotel is the nicest they have stayed at in Limerick. So we are delighted we chose The Strand Hotel to host our wedding reception and I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel as a wedding venue. A very special thanks to our hotel wedding co-ordinator Aishling Murtagh. Our wedding was in very safe hands from the outset and with her help our day went off without a hitch.

From the moment we announced our engagement we both knew the only venue we wanted for our reception was the City View at the Strand Hotel. We had been there before for a family function and the views from the room are phenomenal, Thomond Park, King John's Castle the river Shannon and the City look spectacular from that height.
The Staff at the hotel are friendly and extremely professional, Aishling was our Event Co-Ordinator and she just goes out of her way to help and thinks ahead all the time, I can't speak highly enough of her. We really enjoyed the night of our tasting, it is a nice touch, Tom the Head Chef met with us at this point to fine tune the final details on the menu.
On the day itself the staff went out of their way to make our day as special and memorable as possible, from the drinks reception to the function room it all looked beautiful. The meal and service was perfect, I can honestly say we couldn't have chosen a better venue for our wedding day and would highly recommend the Strand Hotel to any couple thinking and having their wedding reception there.

"lovely hotel, fantastic staff”
We decided to choose The Strand Hotel for our wedding reception in August. We knew we made the right decision and found the sales coordinators very helpful and efficient. On the day, our wedding reception looked beautiful and all the little extras the hotel taught of really made our day. The food was exceptional and the reception room looked magical. We cannot say enough about the excellent staff they really made our day special and we didn't have to worry about a single thing. We would definitely recommend any couple who are thinking of getting married to choose The Strand for their reception, you will not be disappointed. All of our guest were talking about how fabulous the hotel was for weeks afterwards.

I atended a wedding at the the Limerick Strand Hotel in July of a good friend and I can honestly say that the day could'nt have gone better as a guest. I certain also the the happy couple had a ball and were delighted with the service, facilities, food & gerneral approach show to them.
The Hotel (After some persuasion from the Groom) sourced the meat for the mains from a Local butcher in the city - and OMG what a reaction. It seemed not one carnivore on the day didnt praise the quality and delight in have such a enjoyable meal - within such numbers.
The Staff were a delight and counld do enough for you - no price can be put on a smile and a genuine interest in how the Bride & Groom & every guest was enjoying the day. All executed with a level of charm and lightlight heartedness.

I want to thank you very much for all your assistance in planning the "perfect" wedding reception. Everything was just as we expected, and more. The friendliness of the staff, service, quality of food, etc. greatly impressed every guest. The Strand Hotel can be very proud of their staff for representing it so well. We were all 'blown away' at the serving of the meal. A memorable day was had by all and the guests who had a longer stay at the hotel could not speak highly enough of it. "Fantastic Wedding Hotel”
I was in The Strand Hotel last weekend for my friend's wedding and I was so impressed with the hotel. Everything from the staff, to the food, to the reception area was fantastic. Everyone was so impressed and it really added so much to an already amazing wedding. The bride and groom were so happy with the hotel and the staff, that the groom even took time to thank them in his speech. The rooms were beautiful and so clean. The bar is large with beautiful views and the hotel itself is really beautifully decorated. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone, from families to couples, to friends staying for a night or a weekend and to couples getting married. This hotel will definitely exceed your expectations.

The “Strand Hotel” exceeded our expectations on any level. Everything about the venue was perfect and I don't use that word lightly. The food was outstanding “based on the crowd we invited were big grubbers, we didn’t have one complaint just all complements. One guest quoted that “it was the best meal he had at a wedding in years”!!. The service was fantastic, and the physical facility was beautiful. Our guests were blowen away at how the Shannon suite was dreamingly decorated. The management of the event was instrumental in making it all work smoothly and this would not have been so perfect only for the help of the hotel’s wedding co-ordinator Carly.
A massive high five to the strand for making our wedding the best day of our lives.

“The ultimate stay for a wedding to remember with great pleasure”
The view of the city and the Sarsfield Bridge twinkling at night from the 6th floor wedding reception suite could have been from anywhere spectacular in the world, some guests likened it to being in New York. The tables and chairs were tastefully dressed in keeping with the occasion.
Guests commented on the dress of the waiters and waitress including their immaculate gloves.
The wedding meal which was delicious started with a surprise appetiser for all the adults. This was followed by a choice of 3 starters and 3 main courses with a special vegetarian main for one guest. The dessert choices and the wines were excellant. The best surprise was saved until last when carved ice swans were brought to each table - white and black grapes were in the centre whilst attached moulded spoons held a selection of amazing petit fours. The children were delighted to see a swan land on their table and all were photographed with hands outstretched towards it.
It was great to have a private bar and a place for our band to play away from the rest of the hotel.
Our room during the 6 night stay was a city view suite with lounge area, luxurious bathroom and enclosed balcony overlooking the Sarsfield Bridge (which was lit at night). We loved this room with it's fabulous view and comfort. A newspaper was outside our door every morning and bottled water was replenished daily. The service throughout the hotel was courteous and of high quality. Breakfast was plentiful with a good variety of foods to choose from.

Just to let you know that everyone whom we have been speaking with since the wedding has raved about the Limerick Strand Hotel. Among other things everyone loved the food and the service from the arrival reception to the afters and many a person has commented on your lovely christmas decorations. From Tommy and my point of view it was a wonderful experience dealing with you and the rest of the staff from start to finish, we had a ball on the actual day itself, but god did it fly. I will have no reservation in recommending you to anyone i know who is looking for a wedding venue.

The staff at the Strand who made our wedding such a successful and special occasion, we wuld both like you to know what we found the whole experience of planning our wedding with the Strand an absolute pleasure from initial meetgins with Carly & ClaireAnn to the tasting dinner to the actual day where we were blown away by the level of service and incredibly high standard of food. "5 Star service with a personal touch!”
I was recently the best man at the Keegan wedding. The wedding was held at the Strand & I cannot find enough superlatives to describe was an excellent location this was for the wedding. Besides the well appointed rooms and spacious suites (friends of our upgraded for €30 & got an large suite facing the river), the staff were both helpful and efficient. The food both at the wedding & the next day (BBQ) were of a high standard & the general consensus from guests at the wedding was it was an excellent venue. I was not privy to the cost, but if it is within budget - it is a location I would highly recommend. For those of you who are business travellers, I have done my share of staying in hotels & this is an excellent location. Close to the city (but without having to drive into the centre) & you can make an easy escape to the airport if necessary.
Considering I worked in hospitality for 10 yrs (including 5 star hotels in Whitsundays & Ayres Rock) I can confirm this is as good as anywhere I have worked or stayed.
Bravo - value for money in Ireland.
