The Secret Ingredient Range
For a taste of the Limerick Strand Hotel at home Tom Flavin Executive Chef is delighted to introduce the award winning “The Secret Ingredient” range. A new and inspiring home made pantry range from the Executive Chef and his talented culinary team. The Range includes items such as Classic Caesar Dressing, homemade Chicken liver parfait and sweet treats, created by our Pastry Chef Claude including: home made jams, scones and the famous Strand Banoffi Pie perfect for family occasions or as a simple treat.
We are delighted to announce that Tom Flavin's Secret Ingredient Range has won Two Gold Star Ratings at the UK Great Taste Awards 2011. Charlie Westcar of the Great Taste Awards explains 'Winning gold is no easy task and you are in good company. Of the 7482 only 114 three-star gold’s were awarded’.
Chef Tom has exceeded all his expectations in Sept 2011 by winning Silver for his Caesar Salad Dressing part of The Secret Ingredient inhouse Pantry Range at The annual Blas na hEireann National Irish Food Awards . In addition to this the Limerick Strand Hotel won overall ‘Business Diversification Award’ sponsored by AIB. The only hotel to win at the Irish Food Awards
