The Limerick Strand Hotel opened its Doors in May 2007, located on O’Callaghan Strand in the heart of Limerick City Centre. The hotel site has been home to the hospitality trade for over 50 years, with a Jury’s Hotel once sitting on the site for over 40 years.
In 2006 the Galway based Lally Family began demolition of the old Jury’s hotel and foundations were set for the 50million, 7 story, ultra modern building, that is the Limerick Strand Hotel
The Galway- based Lally family run a number of businesses across Ireland within the hospitality sector across Ireland that we operate within. The Lally family has a history of links to the tourism industry, especially in the Galway area where we are proud to provide the tourism services at the world-famous Kylemore Abbey & Victorian Walled Gardens in Connemara. Other businesses include The Harbour Hotel in Galway, Hilton Dublin Kilmainham and the Barnacles Hostels brand in Dublin and Galway.
We believe we have something special at the Limerick Strand Hotel. We are a proudly independent hotel that is family owned and operated where service and exceeding the expectations of our guests is our utmost priority
The day to day running of the Limerick Strand Hotel is overseen by our general manager, Sean Lally who is often found discussing the issues of the day over a cup of coffee with our guests, who really seem to enjoy the first-hand experience of true Irish hospitality. Many of our team members at the Limerick Strand Hotel Hotel are from Limerick and its surrounding towns; others have been captivated by the charm of life in Limerick City and have decided to call it home. This combined makes our team an international and vibrant one, with one thing in common, our love for Limerick City and the Surrounding County we are proud Limerick People who share a passion for the culture, spirit and beauty of Limerick and enjoy sharing the best of our local knowledge with visitors to the area.
