Gaelic Grounds, Limerick

The Gaelic Grounds in Limerick is the home venue of 'Limerick GAA', the stadium holds a total of 50,000 spectators and was built in 1926. It proudly stands just a 10 minute stroll from our hotel in Limerick city on match days the Limerick Strand Hotel becomes alive with match Day Atmosphere fans from near and far can be found in the Limerick Strand’s Terrace Bar Pre and Post match having the match banter over a pint and match day buffet!  
The stadium was the proud host to the International Rules game in October 2010 and is sure to welcome future high caliber events in 2011 as Limerick is named as “European City of Sports”

The home of Munster rugby Thomond Park is also very near the Gaelic Grounds and Limerick Strand Hotel.
