The Limerick City Weekend of Welcomes event is an invitation home to Limerick’s Diaspora to experience a celebration of the City’s rich and varied heritage and culture.
With a charter older than that of London, Limerick has a long and captivating history and through the Limerick City Weekend of Welcomes event we can proudly display all that we have to offer to the Limerick Diaspora in October 2013.
The primary components of this Gathering involve a wide range of exciting activities and events designed to entertain, educate and immerse its participants in Limerick’s great history and culture.
The programme will be built around quality cultural events which will provide cultural access for all visitors to the City and its hinterland as well as being inclusive and accessible to all sections of Limerick’s society.
